A Charleston Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day from Hausguest! On the most romantic day of the year, we’re taking a look into which spots in Charleston we feel are prime for celebrating.
To start us off, any meat lover is going to have to try Halls Chophouse located on King Street. Described by the Halls themselves, the Chophouse has “the finest steaks money could buy, an extensive wine list, hearty family-style sides-- but it was the service and warmth of the staff that set them apart”. If you and yours are certified meat lovers, we highly recommend checking out Halls Chophouse for everything from Dry Aged Steaks to the New York Strip, and a beautiful atmosphere.
Next up we have Slightly North of Broad, also known as S.N.O.B. With a daily changing menu, S.N.O.B sets out to ensure it offers the freshest meals available and serves them perfectly for their guests. Their Valentine’s Day menu consists of Pan Roasted Duck Breast, Local Swordfish, Shrimp & Grits, and a whole lot more to choose from including a comprehensive list of fine wines and spirits. Found on East Bay Street, S.N.O.B is also part of the Hall family of restaurants which helps ensure guests that they are certainly in for a phenomenal evening.
For all the Jazz fanatics out there, Charleston Grill has “world-class music seven nights a week”, including live performances on most nights of the week, from soul, blues, and modern jazz. Executive Chef at Charleston Grill, Michelle Weaver, shares how her southern roots and global lens come hand in hand and fuse a flawless menu for every guest to enjoy. Oh, and there’s a plethora of delicious wines and spirits of course. Charleston Grill resides on historic King Street and puts guests in a location that promises a great evening.
From what we’ve mentioned here, we hope that you readers have a great Valentine’s Day and encourage you to check out spots we talked about or even may have missed! The beauty of Charleston is that there’s always something more.
